President

Steve Valenta

In 1987, Steve, having worked for various office equipment companies, became dissatisfied with the limitations they imposed on delivering exceptional customer service. Recognizing the need to provide clients with the best possible experience, he made the decision to establish his own business. To kick-start the venture, Steve purchased a Canon dealership in Waynesboro, enabling him to sell and service Canon products. Thus, Offix was born in Northern VA.

Throughout the years, Offix has gained a reputation for outstanding customer service, receiving numerous client referrals as a result. The team members at Offix are committed to delivering high-quality service to clients across various sectors, including single-person businesses, churches, non-profits, the Federal government, and commercial enterprises.

With an impressive 33 years of industry experience, Stephen Valenta possesses extensive knowledge in all aspects of office technology. His expertise contributes to Offix’s ability to provide comprehensive solutions to meet clients’ diverse needs.

Vice President

Kim Valenta

In 2003, Offix was experiencing rapid growth and required additional assistance. Kim, the wife of Steve, began regularly coming into the office to lend a hand. Recognizing her valuable contributions, Steve made the decision to hire her full-time.

Prior to joining Offix, Kim held a managerial role overseeing significant contracts for a prominent government contractor. She also gained financial expertise while serving as a controller for another company, where she handled pricing and cost analyses. With over 30 years of substantial business experience, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge to Offix.

Kim appreciates the family-oriented atmosphere at Offix, considering it the best aspect of working there. She emphasizes the company’s commitment to caring for employees, stating, “We like to stay regimented and follow rules, but when it comes to employees, we always want to take care of them. I believe that’s why we have very little employee turnover. The employees are comfortable here, and they know that we care about them.”

Ron Robey
Vice President of Service

Ron Robey

With an extensive background spanning over 25 years in the copier and fax service industry, Ron Robey was the ideal candidate for Offix’s Vice President of Service. In his role, Ron oversees a team of fourteen skilled service technicians, ensuring their daily operations run smoothly and guaranteeing 100% customer satisfaction for Offix’s clientele. He also prioritizes keeping his team well-equipped with the latest training on new hardware and software products within the industry.

Ron holds great enthusiasm for his service team, expressing, “We have a great service team that works on everything from the fax line all the way up to the 105 page-per-minute copy machines, plus a full line of color equipment.” Leading by example is a core principle for Ron, as he firmly believes in performing any task he asks his team to do. He states, “There’s not a single thing on a daily basis that I ask my guys to do that I won’t do myself.”

Tim King

With 35+ years of experience working in industry management, Tim has a highly successful track record of securing and working with large enterprise accounts that include higher education, medical, and manufacturing.

Tim has been married for 38 years with four children and four grandchildren. He enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Sales Manager – Lynchburg

Tim King Jr.

Born and raised just outside New Orleans, LA, Tim is proud of his Louisiana roots and has a deep appreciation for all things LSU and Cajun cooking. With 14 years of experience in office technology sales, Tim has spent the last 8 years focusing on serving the Lynchburg region. He thrives on problem-solving and building long-term client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service and unwavering loyalty.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys quality moments with his wife, Katie, their son Nolan, and their beloved dogs, Mia and Louie. Beyond his personal life, Tim actively contributes to the Lynchburg community through volunteer work. He dedicated 6 years to serving on the board of CASA of Central Virginia, advocating for the welfare of children. Additionally, Tim served as an Ambassador for the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance for 6 years, promoting business growth in the area. Currently, he continues to make a difference by serving on the board of directors for Mustaches 4 Kids Lynchburg, supporting charitable initiatives.

Sales Manager – Richmond

Bill Bailey

Born and raised in West Virginia, Bill Bailey is a proud Mountaineer. He holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from Hampden-Sydney College, where he also played football and became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Bill furthered his education with an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and has called the Richmond area home for the past 35 years.

Bill's professional journey includes diverse roles in sales and sales management, marked by notable successes. He has also contributed to economic development efforts within state and local government. Bill's expertise lies in understanding business processes and meeting customer needs, all while maintaining a strong client focus throughout the sales process. He consistently strives to be viewed as a trusted advisor in every sales situation.

Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time on the water in a boat or on the golf course. He and his wife, Kim, cherish moments with their two children, their spouses, and their two grandchildren. Bill is actively involved in his community, serving on several boards and participating in church outreach programs. Additionally, he has been a sponsor and mentor for Junior Achievement and an advisor to fraternity and college organizations.

Brent Perry
Sales Manager – Norfolk

Brent Perry

Brent Perry, a proud West Virginian, brings his competitive spirit and extensive experience to the Offix team. He comes from a lineage of entrepreneurs—his father owned several businesses, and his grandfather was involved in the coal industry. With nearly 20 years of experience in sales and management, Brent has built a successful career across various sectors, including IT, printers, telecommunications, and packaging. His impressive track record includes working with government entities, manufacturing firms, production print companies, legal organizations, and Fortune 500 corporations.

Brent graduated from Marshall University and its Graduate College, where he played rugby for the Thundering Herd, was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and served as a student government senator. Outside of work, Brent enjoys hiking, mountain and beach adventures with his best friend Brewsky, his Boston Terrier, as well as attending sporting events and festivals.

Brent is also an active community member, serving as an Ambassador for the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.
